JEFF WAVE

Singer-songwriter/Composer

Jeff Wave is a New York based singer/multi-instrumentalist leading an eclectic new chamber pop band called The Red Scare. Musical influences range from Bach, Beatles, Motown, Pete Seeger, Brian Eno, Arcade Fire and American Songbook standards. Mo Mansukhani plays cello and Phil Ballman (formerly of Antibalas, Beat the Donkey and other Brazilian music groups) is on percussion. Stylistically the band's wide ranging musical spectrum stretches from acoustic folk and various world music influences, to psychedelic electro-acoustic avant pop instrumental.

Home On The Range is the 2019 release of American Songbook standards written between the '20s and '50s. Jeff sings and plays baritone ukulele and double bass. Featured on four songs is guest artist trumpeter/producer Michael Leonhart (played on the 2015 Record of the Year & Best Pop Duo/Group Grammy winning Uptown Funk with Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson).

At the same time a heavily electronic purely instrumental CD with the band is also underway.
